MS Word To EPUB Converter converts MS Word files (.DOC/.DOCX) to ePub format. This is the simplest form of eBook maker where you can make your own eBook for free. It has a very simple UI with limited functionalities. Click on "Add Word file(s)" to select a MS Word document from your PC. Choose an output folder where you want your eBook to be saved. Start Converting your file, and get an ePub output in no time. The progress bar shows the completion of the conversion. It has no other function apart from MS Word to ePub conversion. The only function that you can not avail is adding all the MS Word file(s) in a folder , to the conversion queue.
Web-based e-book apps tend to have simpler, user-friendly features as opposed to offline software which are mostly used for designing graphically intense content. If you’re looking to create a quick e-book without breaking the bank, there are lots of free online software available. On the other hand, if you have a budget to spend on software for creating a professional e-book, then there’s no reason why you shouldn’t go for a more advanced tool.
Get Your Book Accepted On Amazon KDP the First Time! Getting your eBooks accepted on Kindle, iBookStore, LuLu, Smashwords and Barnes & Noble is probably one of the most difficult tasks you will encounter. Don't believe me? Just do a simple Google search on say "iBookStore formatting" and you will read tons of blogs and stories about people struggling with the iBookStore. Here's the process. You upload your book using a service like lulu.com. Wait 3-4 weeks to get your eBook validated. If there is even one error, your eBook will be rejected! But here's the kicker. They DO NOT tell you ALL the errors at once. Then you fix that one error and submit again. Wait another 3 weeks to see if your eBook got accepted. This goes on and on until you fix all the eBook errors... PAINFUL!! Not with UEC though. I have so many UEC customers who email me back and say "Hey Nitin, my eBook got accepted the first time! And I only had to wait 4 hours!".
Select an Input file from your PC from the Add Books option. Add edit or add metadata (author, title, and description) to your eBook. This eBook maker also has an inbuilt eBook cover creator. It also looks up to date – the layout and interface are much more accessible than those of some competitors. Lucidpress is an online program, so you don’t download it, and you store your projects in the cloud. Some may see it as a downside to need internet access to work on projects, but it’s fairly common practice nowadays. You can sign up for a free trial on Lucidpress’ site, and you can even access the software for free if you’re a student or teacher. However, the program’s project variety is what really makes it a great option. It includes publishing formats for business reporting as well as those to help educators make learning material more engaging. There’s also a space to create personal projects like family photo albums and picture books. The service makes it easy to add images and sound to your work.

If you want to write an eBook, or self-publish a hard cover, I recommend this software product. I have published 2 books so far, albeit short ones at this point, but I am just getting started. Others have commented that they cannot get support on this software, but I have had no problems getting very quick answers to two or three questions I have had. Nitin was very quick to help and respond. If you are willing to watch the provided videos, they are very good at pointing out how to do things step-by-step. The only drawback I have found is that some of the videos are mildly outdated due to changes that Amazon makes so the videos in a couple of cases are not up to speed but still provide what you need to know, or you can email and get an answer quickly. I hope Amazon will let me link my books so you know that I am not just writing to be writing; I want you to see product. https://amzn.to/2FJ36VQ & https://amzn.to/2RvTdSe are actual eBooks and hard covers available too. A Dad Remembered: Because He Couldn't and We All Know One: Happenstances with a Goofball: Engage Mouth Before Brain is the other one's title. It makes importing and converting very easy. I recommend watching the informative videos on whatever you have questions about. I have finally fulfilled a little dream of mine to be published!

Meanwhile, the visually striking Haynes car manuals are instantly recognisable and strangely evocative. Even for those who have never so much as got their hands dirty with car oil, Haynes manuals are redolent of a certain era (for me, the 80s and my own father’s slightly grubby Ford Cortina manual on the shelf in the garage). As the company’s strapline has it, Haynes “shows you how”.
Readers might judge a book by its cover, but you’ll also want to make sure the design around what’s inside your eBook is completely up to scratch. Even if you feel more comfortable with words than design, Canva was created for design beginners. With an amazing library of templates and easy, drag-and-drop tools, you can create a professional looking eBook from front to back.
